The education period of our department, which started education in the 2011-2012 academic year, is 4 years. In the first two years of the program, there are applied courses such as basic design, pattern, and theoretical courses such as culture-art, visual communication history, as well as compulsory courses related to specified specialization areas. While the number of theoretical courses has decreased in the third year, the weight of applied vocational courses has increased; By choosing workshops such as graphic design, photography, advertisement, film / video, a program for specializing in mixed or determined areas is followed. Their areas of expertise are supported by elective courses suitable for workshops, and students who progress in a specific area at the end of four years can obtain a Certificate of Interest in addition to their diploma. When the education is completed, the title of Visual Communication Designer is taken. Combining their skills in visual literacy with the discipline of creativity and design, our graduates can have a voice in almost every field of communication such as advertising, publishing, photography, two or three-dimensional visualization, animation, new media, television, cinema in private or public institutions. Our graduates who continue their graduate education and meet certain conditions can continue their academic careers in visual communication design departments.
